Somebody told me that if you want to achieve something in life you've got to pray for it everyday. I was also told to jot down everything that I've been praying for. And that's exactly what I did. It may sound quite impossible with my present status to achieve all the things that I want in life but I am positive that if God willing, I can have it. Of course I should coupled my prayers with hard work for it to really work!

First on the list is to own a house and lot for my family. We are presently renting a room (not a house) that is quite enough for me, for my hubby and our baby. Paying monthly rent is something that I dreaded about especially now that I will be resigning from my present job in order to concentrate in teaching wherein the salary is given monthly. But I took the risk because the pay is quite higher compared to my daily 8-hour job because in teaching we will be paid hourly. I am positive though that to own a house and lot will going to happen sooner than later. It's just a matter of faith- believing on what is seems to be impossible.

Next on the list is a vehicle. At first, me and my hubby settled for a motorcycle but we realized that we cannot carry our baby wherever we want to go riding in a motorcycle. Aside from the fact that it is too small for us, it is also not safe for all of us. Then I realized I should not limit God's immeasurable goodness and abundance by asking for just a motorcycle. So I pray for something bigger like Hyundai. Again, my instinct tries to laugh at me but I tried to overcome this negativity with positive outlook in life. As a blogger, I am so thankful of all the opportunities that were given to me. I also get the chance to meet friends from the blogosphere who, in one way or another, help me in getting more opportunities. Lately, I received tasks from various direct advertisers and what is so good about them is that they could pay you directly or a week after the review. Many are so excited for the upcoming Pacquiao- Bradley bout. And perhaps, you are one of them. As for me, I am excited as well and I like the latest development of Manny Pacquiao, specifically on his spiritual life though there were some who were just so negative about it. Whatever is the outcome, I just hope that it will be the last fight for Manny and I hope also that he will just completely ignore Mayweather's challenge. So much for his boxing career. He should focus on what is most important- his newly found love in Jesus Christ ^_^.

Anyway, in the issue of fighting, the media can't still get enough of Santiago-Tulfo fight that took place last Sunday at NAIA. People are still wondering as to who should be blamed and who really caused it to happen. Whoever initiated the said fight, I just hope that it will be resolved soon. I can't help but notice as well the shortcomings of NAIA for their malfunctioned CCTV cam (It's more fun in the Philippines, indeed that a simple case of malfunctioning cannot be resolved immediately). Public places like an airport should be well-equipped with usable facilities and proper maintenance should be applied considering the necessity of CCTV cam. If only the CCTV cam did work during the incident, there would be no further interrogation as to who should be blamed on the issue. 

On the part of Cebu Pacific, they should informed the passenger beforehand about the luggage issue in order not to cause panic on the part of the passengers. We cannot put all the blame to Claudine for acting such things though it is inappropriate for her to be so nasty with the attendant considering that the attendants have nothing to do about it.    However, if only Cebu Pacific management informed them ahead of time (before boarding time) such incident will not happen.

On the part of Mon Tulfo, he appeared to be the most affected, severely pathetic if we based our judgment on the YouTube video footage that reached almost one million viewers (hmm, trending!). However, during the interview, the Santiago revealed that it was Mon Tulfo who initiated the fight when he was asked about the picture of Claudine that he took. Mon Tulfo earned the sympathy of the majority especially the media people because for them, Mon was just exercising his rights as a media practitioner and that the Santiago's were in a public place thus they have no rights to claim their right of privacy (toink!)

If we tried to weigh things out, we cannot really tell as to who among them tells the truth. Only the witnesses can do it however, the security guards who were there during the incidents were not willing to cooperate for some reason. Both parties are willing to settle the issue through the court. The Santiago's were threatened with the reaction of Mon Tulfo's siblings (who can blame them?).

Well, I just hope that the truth will prevail. Such issue on fighting is so trending nowadays- especially in the Entertainment World. We had Andi Eigenman vs. Arvie Casiño; Annabelle Rama and Ruffa Gutierrez vs. Amalia Fuentes; Annabelle Rama vs. Nadia Montenegro and of course Manny Pacquiao vs the unbeaten Timothy Bradley LOL!

He loves to chuckle, he loves to be cuddled... That's my baby Jeush Gregory. His mere presence truly completes my day!

The annual parade in observance of the Labor Day celebration was featured in the news last night. As usual, laborers were marching down in different cities and provinces asking for wage increase and the abolition of the contractualization. Sad to say, PNoy gave his statement against the said increase for this will affect the employment condition of the country. If laborers from private sector will increase for a P125- wage increase, this will cause some investors to have a cost-cutting among its employees. PNoy said that he will rely on the Regional Tripartite Wage Productivity Board to settle the issue. There might be an increase but not as much as P125. Well, PNoy got his point and I couldn't disagree with him. On the other hand, the issue about contractualization has been a long term dilemma among common laborers (and I am not an exception).

I've been working in both private and public sector for more or less eight (8) years now. Under private sector, the wage may not be within the minimum wage rate but I am covered with all those required benefits (SSS, PhilHealth and PagIBIG). However, when I decided to work in a government SUC, all those benefits were gone because of that No employer-employee relationship.  I am a contractual (and part timer lecturer at the same time). Though I can still continue with my contributions but in a self-employed status. The problem with this is that I was not able to continue with my contributions because it requires time and effort. Unlike in private sector where you will be deducted automatically for the contributions. Before, when I was still single, I am not really diligent in my obligations not until I got married. I got nothing from SSS though I have contributed from the past years when I file for maternity reimbursement. My application was denied because I was not able to contribute within the required months. That was really so disgusting but again I could only blame myself for that. Good thing I was able to update my membership with PhilHealth which really helps me a lot with my hospital bills.

The Laborer's Right was denied because only few from the Law-making bodies are supporting it. So sad, but that's the reality. For a degree holder like me, assurance for a permanent job has been a long-time struggle. But then, I am not closing doors, I know that someday I will have a stable job where my laborer's right is not denied and I can enjoy all the benefits that is due to me.

Hopefully, by May 1, 2013, I can be proud of myself with my new stable job. Amen. :)
