My 7-year old son loves to read Science book. He doesn't like to study that much but if you give him a book of interest he will not stop until he's done with it. Lately, our local book store got a book sale so I was able to get a book about the weather for P50 only. To check if he really did learn something, I asked him randomly to spell a word for me, and the result was amazing, it's not perfect but already good enough for a typical 7-year old boy like him. So, that's my Worthy Saturday post for this week!

Where to Turn For Aging Family Members

The aging process can be stressful on both a patient and the caregivers in the home. Although the goal is to provide the individual with the best quality of life possible, family members are often taxed both emotionally and physically as they juggle the healthcare needs and the domestic or employment duties they are already committed too. If you feel like you can’t handle it alone, there are many experienced companies offering home care Washington DC residents have had experience with using. The ability to stay home and age with dignity and personalized care is a wonderful gift you can give to your loved ones. There are several benefits that in-home care can bring.

Help With Medical Care and Equipment

As an individual ages, there is a range of assistive devices that might be needed to maintain a high quality of life. Some individuals may have catheters or colostomy bags that need attention, and the trained services that can be provided by an in-home care company. Not all home services offer medical professionals, but usually even non-medical staff report to a licensed nurse. These providers have the medical experience and training to help care for the unique medical needs your loved one may have. They can keep an eye on different symptoms and report changes in behaviors or functionality whether the condition is associated with aging or illness or disability recovery.

Emotional Respite

Dealing with the demands of care can be exhausting and emotionally draining. When you are able to catch a break from making dinner or changing bed pads, you can take a breath and step away from the stress of the duties. Having the caregiving responsibility can be rewarding, but it can also be tough. Taking advantage of the respite can help you stay focused and able to care for your loved one in the right frame of mind.
If you are facing a situation where your loved one needs extra assistance, there are several benefits to choosing in-home care. You and your loved one deserve the best in quality and care

How Far Will Your Love For Your Children Go?

This morning, I was dumbfounded when I saw this post on Yahoo News:

Truth be told, most of our young people nowadays are having an exceptional attitude- some are mean, while, (a good thing) there are still those who are getting the right values from their parents. Like this particular teen who pushes his new BMW into the river simply because he doesn't like it. I really felt sorry for the parents. I do not know how the parents would feel with the ingrate son. Instead of thanking them, he displayed such a disgusting attitude.

Loving our children is our obligation, however, we, as parents, should know our limitations- or our boundaries. We can pamper them but we should not spoil them like giving them everything their hearts desire-even if it's beyond their needs. It's just like raising a lion that will readily devour us when they will get the chance.

Let us raise our children in accordance with what is right and proper. Let us give them all they need, but we should not feel obliged to give them what they want.
It is called- DISCIPLINE.

Why Do We Need to Get Insured?

If there's one thing that I regret the most because I procrastinate is getting myself insured. Well, every time I have applied for a loan in a private lending institutions, it always comes with a life insurance however, it is co-terminus with the number of years that the loan was applied for.

It was only last year that I fully decided to get one. Good thing my financial adviser was able to explained it well. Only then I realized that have I got it way back when I was still young and capable, I would have already enjoyed its benefits by now.  But anyway, it's not yet too late. In spite of the fact that I have so many financial obligations for my family, I have to pursue this. After all, it;s been a year already and I am so happy that I made it!

Being the breadwinner, this is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Thank you Lord for sustaining me.

Three Tips to Consider for an At-Home Birth

If you're an expectant mother, there are a lot of decisions you have to make before the baby comes. It can be pretty overwhelming if you don't pace yourself. One of the most important decisions to consider involves how the baby will arrive. You can decide to go the traditional route by having the baby in a hospital. However, there are plenty of options to consider like a water birth. If you decide to choose an option where you're giving birth at home, consider these three tips.

 1. Consider the risks and precautions.

It's always great to sit down to conduct your own research. Read lots of credible books and articles. Talk to a variety of professionals. Even if you chose to find a midwife tampa, it doesn't hurt to have an OB/GYN as well. There are plenty of OB/GYN doctors that will work in tandem with a doula and other support staff for a non-traditional route. They can point out the risks and precautions you'll want to consider based on factors like age, weight and health history.

 2. Talk to moms who've been through the experience.

If you know of women who have been through the experience of a home birth, it's a great idea to talk to them. Get their perspective of the pros and cons they experienced. Also, the internet is such a great resource because many women share their experiences through videos on YouTube. If you do a simple search on the platform, you'll be able to find tons of reflection videos. If you don't know of anyone who's done the home birth, find meet-up groups of new moms who share their experiences online.

 3. Trust your instincts.

At the core, you have to trust yourself. You know what's best for your body. Once you've gathered the research, make a decision that's best for both you and your baby. If you chose to do a home birth and run into complications, it's always wise to have a back-up plan. It doesn't make you weak to put the right safety precautions in place. In fact, it makes you a smart mom.

The All-New GCash Apps

I've been a GCash user since it was introduced to the public, even before its apps is not yet available at the Google Playstore. The features of GCash and everything that they offered is just so amazing! From online money transfer to almost all banks to paying bills and even e-loading- they are all so awesome and so helpful for a busy working Mom like me. Sad to say, not all were totally aware of its existence and if they do, they have less appreciation about it.

GCash app is very easy to use and its interface are so user-friendly. There are still other great features about the all-new GCash but maybe in some other time. If you are interested, just leave a message!
