31 Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
When was the last time that you extended your arms for our less-fortunate brothers? Or how do you reacted when a street child approaches you begging for alms? I do not know your answer to these questions but one thing is for sure. God sees everything that we do to our unfortunate brethren. We cannot deny the fact that in some point of our lives, in a given situation, we tend to discriminate the people that we met everyday. We either look down or look up to the person. Sad, but it's true. Even myself sometimes, I simply ignore those street kids who tries to beg for food. Sometimes also I gave but most of the time I refuses. I rationalize the situation thinking that if I kept on giving them, they will become too dependent and will no longer find ways to earn a living... But how can people like them be get employed nowadays? That's one thing that I failed to consider. We cannot just simply blame them for being so dependent with other people because they are left with no choice.
Next time you meet beggars on the street consider this: Do not count what you have given, but rather, think of the countless blessings that you have received and be happy to share them with those incapable of having such.
Are you familiar with that nursery rhyme about a dog named Bingo?
There's another Bingo that is equally popular with the song only that this is a game. One of the things that would really caught my attention every time I have my grocery done at two of the big department stores here in our locality is the sound of the Bingo announcer who would shout from the top of his voice every time there is already a Bingo winner. I wonder if how a winner could be determine easily on games done at the bingo sites. Does it has an announcer too? Well, I doubt it. I haven't tried playing Bingo and I do not know how is it done. Better not to learn anything about it otherwise, I might get hooked to it.
I'd rather sing B-I-N-G-O and Bingo was the name o! Lol!
My day today was filled with gifts and surprises. This is one of the advantages that a teacher could get during Teacher's Day.I received a magic mug, a sign pen, a fan, a meal ticket for free lunch, and a cup cake!
Not only that, I also received this award from Ate Grace:
Cute, isn't it?
Anyway, to all my co-teachers out there, let us continue to make a difference!
Let us also live with this year's theme: "Teachers for Gender Equality".
The gym in our school is due for renovation. In fact, the opening of bids is by next week already. We are quite busy for that day to come considering that the contractors who joined are coming from various places. Indeed, it is really a competitive one. I really miss the gym. It is one of my favorite standby area back in my college days. I specifically love to watch basketball here and I miss the sound of the touch of the ball on its hardwood flooring. It is my prayer that this bidding would be a successful one!
October is Kids' Month in our church. As part of the LOG (Lambs of God) Ministry, I was assigned in the decoration committee... And this is what usually happens next right after everything is done: Documentation! lol!
