Mortal Sin

I cannot contain my emotion yesterday when I read degrading comments on fb of  the ex-gf of my colleague against my board mate/room mate/colleague and close friend rolled into one (complicated huh?). Personally, I am sensitive/reactive type of person. I do not want any of my friends to be treated that way. Jealousy or rather insecurity was the main reason why the said ex-gf posted nasty comments on the wall. But she never admitted as being insecure to my friend (in contradict to what she had posted on the wall). With all those comments and reactions, I considered her so pathetic. She's gone beyond professionalism with what she did. What a mortal sin it is to look down on someone. Nobody has the right to do so. All of us must remember that we are not all perfect therefore we have no right to degrade any person for any reason.

Shalom!

Be A Part of the International Outsourcing Summit

Tthis coming October 26-27, 2010, there will be a two-day International Outsourcing Summit that will be held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza to be attended by top global industry executives who will debate the future of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). I was simply amazed with how top global market leaders took time to convene and discuss about the development process in order to recover from any financial challenges that became a problem not only here in the Philippines but to other top countries as well.  This is going to be interesting because these top global market leaders will provide insights about fast-emerging, new age of offshore outsourcing that is expanding opportunities for the industry but creating new and complex challenges that will dramatically transform the industry. This will be discussed by the competent resource speakers from top companies here and abroad.

Outsourcing to the Philippines became a trend in the business industry nowadays. Many were benefited and given opportunities to be employed to work for other countries without necessarily going abroad like call centers. Here in Cagayan de Oro  alone, there is a wide job fair happening regularly for call centers which would also mean more opportunities especially for the unemployed but competent job seekers. Outsourcing does not apply to call centers only, it is also applied to online marketing which became a top pick for job seekers who loves to work right at the comfort of their home. Online marketing needs to be studied as well. These too will be discussed during the summit. Present on the summit also is the Search Profile Index (SPI),it is a service which will help companies in assessing their  current status against their competitors. SPI was launched by 4th Media, who is also the media sponsor for this upcoming activity.

MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino commended his officials yesterday for their efforts in easing the impact of typhoon “Juan” through effective implementation of disaster preparations.
“I am very happy to report to the public that everyone has delivered. The thorough preparations of all concerned agencies are in marked contrast to the official helplessness of the past, and at present, we haven’t had to ask the public to contribute outside resources,” Mr. Aquino said in a statement.

Well, Typhoon Pepeng and Ondoy were enough lessons for them to learn a lot from that experience...
