If you know someone who is having a boy, you might not know exactly what to get except for the generic diapers or blue clothing. You might not think of gowns for a baby boy, but a swaddling blanket is an option for keeping the baby warm. A soft book with different textures can be a learning tool for when the baby starts holding things in his hands. Personalized newborn blankets are an option if you aren't sure what to get and can include the name of the baby as well as the date of birth, weight, length and time. 

A gift basket is also an idea if you want to get something that the parents can use but want to include a few different things together. Get a blue or white basket with a baby boy balloon attached to the handle. Get sleepers, washcloths, towels and other items that are blue, yellow or green in color. Other items that you can include for a boy are a small tractor or a car that he can play with when he's older or puppy stuffed animals that are blue and brown.
